Hard Disk Drive Data Recovery

How Disklabs will recover your data...

disklabs-hard-drive-recoveryDisklabs will first assess your damaged or failed hard drive and send the disk through to the appropriate data retrieval station. The expert data recovery engineers will use all the latest tools in the laboratory to ensure that your data is recovered in the fastest possible time. Disklabs operate a No Data, No Fee* policy.

Disklabs Data Recovery offers three levels of data recovery for every type of digital storage device:

Standard Service average 7 to 10 working days recovery turn around.
Priority Service average 3 to 5 working days. Upon receipt of your storage device, your job is prioritised and given precedence over any standard service work.
Emergency Service Immediate diagnosis. 24/7 working routine is adopted for all Emergency Data Recovery, (including weekends and bank holidays). Recovery time depends on the problems and the volume of the data.

Disklabs Hard Drive Data Recovery retrieve data from:

  • Any drive interface: IDE, EIDE, PATA, Serial ATA, SCSI, SAS, FATA, SSA, and Fibre Channel
  • Any combination or configuration of drives: single hard drive, portable backup device or multiple RAID array.
  • Any hard drive manufacture, form factor, or system manufacturer.

Since 1997, Disklabs Hard Drive Data Recovery have established partnerships with Hard Disk Manufactures, Mass Storage & Enterprise Class Server Manufacturers, Computer Associations, Computer Repair Shops and Network and Service providers.  Disklabs Data Recovery recover data from every situation imaginable.  Disklabs Data Recovery have successfully recovered data from single and multiple hard drive mechanical and logical failures as well as natural disaster such as fire, flood and electrical power surges.

    Types of data loss

    • Logical failure – This is where the hard drive is physically functional but the data cannot be accessed.  Logical failure includes corrupt engineering semi-conductors, (chips), firmware failure, lost partition, damaged MFT, (Master File Table),deleted data, re-install and formatting.
    • Mechanical failure - Common hard drive failures include head crash, head failure, bearing seizure, motor failure and blown semi-conductors,(chips) on the PCB.

    Hard disk drives fail!

Hard disk drives are precision made parts that are prone to failure. There are several reasons why drives fail, for example when subjected to power surges and physical damage.  Other reasons include overwriting, natural disasters and viruses.
Disklabs Data Recovery have developed specialist hard drive recovery software tools and techniques to overcome the current knows hard disk drive problems. Data recovery involves more than just replacing parts and in the case of mechanical failure, Disklabs Data Recovery perform recoveries in dust-free clean facility, (ISO BS EN 14644), to allow evaluation and repair in a manufacturer accredited environment.
